Mr Ding , Chairman of HiSiCar, met with Mr/Ms [Name], Chairman of the Mongolian Youth Council, and accompanying delegates in [City] on [Date]. The two sides held in-depth discussions on China–Mongolia automotive trade cooperation and on youth employment and entrepreneurship support.
The Mongolian Youth Council (MYC) is a national youth organisation established in 2013, composed of representatives from youth NGOs and youth networks across Mongolia, with a long-standing focus on youth development, employment and entrepreneurship.

Mongolia: an adjacent market with an opening window
Mongolia is the world's second-largest landlocked country, with a territory of approximately 1.56 million square kilometres and a population of around 3.5 million. Having no domestic automotive industry, the country relies entirely on imports for its vehicle supply.
According to Mongolian customs data, vehicle imports reached 123,000–132,000 units in 2024, an increase of roughly 60–67% year-on-year, of which passenger cars accounted for approximately 112,000 units. Total automotive imports were valued at around USD 1.03 billion, representing about 8.9% of Mongolia's total imports. Used vehicles dominate the market, sourced mainly from Japan and the Republic of Korea and largely right-hand drive. At the same time, Chinese brands now account for close to 40% of Mongolia's new vehicle imports, with growing awareness of brands including Geely, Chery, Great Wall Motors and BYD.
A policy shift is worth noting: since 2026, Mongolia has tightened the import of right-hand-drive vehicles. Market share long held by Japanese right-hand-drive used cars is therefore opening up to left-hand-drive new vehicles.
Export data from the Chinese side reflects the same trend. In January–February 2026, China exported 395 vehicles to Mongolia, of which plug-in hybrids and battery-electric vehicles together accounted for 60% of volume and 75.7% of value — indicating that Mongolian acceptance of Chinese new-energy vehicles has exceeded expectations. By province of origin, the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region accounted for approximately 57%, largely through Erenhot, the largest land port between China and Mongolia.
The discussion
Chairman Ding outlined HiSiCar's business scope in vehicle export, including new and used vehicle export, customs clearance, vehicle registration services and modified-vehicle export, together with the company's end-to-end capabilities in vehicle sourcing, condition inspection, export licensing and international logistics and delivery.
Chairman [Name] presented the Mongolian Youth Council's work on youth employment, entrepreneurship support and vocational training, as well as the practical needs of young Mongolians in mobility and business creation.
Both sides noted that China and Mongolia are geographically adjacent with highly complementary economies, and that vehicle trade and youth employment share a natural connection — vehicle sales, aftersales service, maintenance and repair all create employment and entrepreneurial opportunities for local young people. The two sides agreed to maintain communication on [specific area, e.g. training for young vehicle sales and aftersales professionals / vehicle support scheme for young entrepreneurs / new-energy vehicle promotion cooperation] and to explore practical cooperation.
Quotes
"Mongolia is a neighbouring market for Chinese vehicle exports and an important node along the Belt and Road," said Chairman Ding. "Our interest is not limited to selling vehicles there. It is in taking a service system there as well — and a service system requires local talent. Building relationships with organisations such as the Mongolian Youth Council has practical value for understanding local needs and integrating into the local community."
Next steps
The two sides agreed to stay in contact and to pursue further engagement on [specific matter]. HiSiCar stated that it will draw on its experience in vehicle export and regulatory compliance to study product and service approaches tailored to the Mongolian market.
